As a former Maine vacation home owner who has relocated from Massachusetts to Maine, Jane has transitioned into the real estate world as a Realtor (broker in Maine and a sales agent in NH).  Jane can meet any of your buying or selling needs. As a previous board member of a local lake association and a Mousam Lake resident, Jane understands the complexity of buying and selling homes on the water.  She also understands the unique challenges that come with buying and selling of homes and land. She is an integral part of the Lake Region Realty team that assures a smooth and skilled transaction.  

Jane also has been certified as a Resort & Second Home Specialist, an Accredited Buyer Representative, as well as, having her certification as an agent who is At Home with Diversity. She is also a host of an Emmy nominated TV show The American Dream: Selling Maine.

Having a specific type of house in mind can make it difficult to find the house you are looking for. Add to the situation that you live almost 1000 miles away and the challenges grow. I was lucky to connect with Jane Carmichael. She did a lot of running around and checking out properties for me. Unfortunately we were unable to find a property that had what I was looking for. At that time, Jane gently suggested looking for land and building the house I wanted. She didn’t provide it as a hard sale — more of a ‘have you thought about’... I hadn’t.
